1. About these terms

Chatty Chimpu is a learning app operated by Danson Solutions (“we”, “us”, or “our”). It introduces Nepali language and culture through video lessons, interactive festival games, and guided quizzes. These terms apply to the app and its related informational webpages.

By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent an enforceable agreement can be formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you act for a child, you must have authority to do so; a child’s use does not remove any protections given by law.

2. Children, parents, and guardians

Chatty Chimpu is designed for children to explore with support from a parent or guardian. An adult should review the service, supervise its use, and decide whether its content is suitable for their child. Do not encourage a child to share unnecessary personal information or someone else’s details.

A parent or guardian should assist with account creation and online services. Adult supervision or acceptance of these terms does not replace any separate parental notice or verifiable consent required by children’s privacy laws.

Age range and parental account/consent arrangements: aged 5–12, including children living outside Nepal who wish to learn the Nepali language and explore Nepali culture..

3. Your account

Some features require an account. The app supports email/password authentication and Google sign-in. You must provide accurate information, use an account you are authorized to access, and keep passwords and devices secure.

• Do not share account access with unauthorized people or impersonate another person.
• Contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
• Keep any email address used for account recovery accessible to the responsible account holder.

Learning progress is associated with the signed-in account. Progress synchronization can depend on your connection, the device, and the availability of the services used by the app.

4. Permission to use the app

Subject to these terms and applicable law, you may use the app for personal learning and supervised educational activities. This is a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the service; it does not transfer ownership of its content or software.

You must not:

• Copy, sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit content without the relevant rights holder’s permission.
• Attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, or access another user’s information.
• Use the service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
• Remove ownership notices or use branding in a way that implies an unauthorized partnership.

These restrictions do not prevent activities that applicable law expressly permits. Software, artwork, audio, stories, and branding may be protected by intellectual property rights held by us or other rights holders.

5. Learning content and progress

The app offers a guided learning experience, including Nepali greetings, festival activities, stories, and colors. It is intended to supplement family and educational learning. We do not promise a particular learning outcome, fluency level, school result, or professional qualification.

Content, chapter names, activities, and the way progress is recorded may change as the project develops. Cultural descriptions are simplified for learning and may not reflect every family’s or community’s traditions. Contact us with content corrections or concerns.

6. Third-party services and links

The app uses services such as Firebase for authentication and saved progress, Google sign-in for an optional sign-in method, and YouTube for video playback. Their availability and terms may affect your experience. External websites and app stores have their own terms and privacy practices.

We do not control all third-party content, advertising, availability, or changes. Parents should supervise external services and review relevant settings. See our privacy policy for more about these providers.

7. Charges, connectivity, and availability

Your internet or mobile provider may charge for data used by sign-in, streaming videos, or synchronizing progress. You are responsible for those provider charges.

If we offer a paid product, subscription, or purchase, its price and applicable payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms must be disclosed before purchase. These terms do not authorize an undisclosed charge or override mandatory consumer rights.

We may update or maintain the service, and interruptions can occur. Features can vary by release, device, and region. Contact Danson Solutions for current app availability.

8. Privacy and your information

Our privacy policy describes account information, learning progress, device storage, service providers, and requests relating to personal information. Read it alongside these terms. Agreeing to these terms is not blanket consent to every form of personal data processing.

Do not submit sensitive information that is unnecessary for using the app or obtaining support. Requests to review, correct, or delete information can be made through the contact details in the privacy policy.

9. Suspension and ending access

You can stop using the app at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect users or the service, comply with law, or discontinue a feature. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Uninstalling the app or signing out does not itself delete the account or cloud-stored learning progress. For account and data deletion requests, follow the privacy policy’s request process.

10. Service responsibilities and legal rights

We aim to provide an accessible and useful learning experience, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device, or error-free content. Keep your device secure and use the service with appropriate adult guidance.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Any exclusion or limitation is subject to mandatory consumer protections and other rights that cannot be waived. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, including any non-excludable responsibility for fraud, serious misconduct, or personal injury.

11. Changes, governing law, and disputes

We may update these terms as the app or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where required by law; continuing use does not replace any fresh consent that the law requires.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. Governing law and dispute forum: Subject to applicable mandatory laws and consumer protections, these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Nepal where legally permissible. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have to contact a competent regulatory authority, exercise mandatory consumer rights, or seek remedies available under applicable law.. Any choice of law or forum remains subject to mandatory local protections and rights to contact a competent authority.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply where lawful. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
